On the morning of September 23, 2014, The Freshmen Military Training Parade and the Opening Ceremony was held in the ground track field. Zhenjiang Zhang, Chief of the Armed Force which was responsible for this military training, Juncheng li, Secretary of the School Party Committee, Xizhong Wang, President of Shangqiu Univeristy, Yadong Lu, Vice-president of Shangqiu University, Chunling Hou, Vice-president of Shangqiu Univeristy and DouFengLing Vice-secretary attended the conference. 
      Freshmen in the form of phalanx filed onto the parade ground and past the platform one by one. The excellent students and instructors in the military training won praise for their hard work and sheer tenacity. The 14-day military training was rounded off with the parade, which also indicates the new academic year’s study is coming.
